School Bus Bombing in Balochistan : At least six people, including four children, were killed in a deadly blast targeting a school bus in Khuzdar district, located in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province. .The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday morning as the bus was picking up students of the Army Public School.
Dozens Injured in Blast Targeting School Vehicle
Yasir Iqbal Dashti, a local government representative, stated that the blast resulted in injuries to at least 38 individuals .
Officials Confirm Fatalities and Ongoing Investigation
Balochistan’s Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti confirmed that among the dead were the school bus driver and his assistant. He also noted that 46 students were aboard the vehicle at the time of the blast.
Addressing a press conference in Quetta, Bugti said that initial investigations suggest the use of a vehicle-borne Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the attack.
“We are airlifting critically injured children to Quetta for urgent medical care,” he added.
He also mentioned that it is too early to definitively determine the nature of the blast, and investigations are still ongoing.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the bombing. However, Pakistan’s military strongly condemned the attack and pointed fingers at alleged “Indian terror proxies,” though no supporting evidence was provided.
