Iran Launches Massive Missile Attack on Israel
Tensions in the Middle East have reached a boiling point after Iran launched a large-scale retaliatory missile strike on Israel. At least eight people have died, and dozens are injured. Sirens rang across Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa, where a power plant caught fire during the attack. This strike is being called the most extensive missile barrage Israel has ever faced.
International media reported that Iran fired over 100 missiles, targeting urban areas and critical infrastructure. The sustained assault forced thousands of Israelis into underground shelters. Authorities urged residents to stay indoors due to the risk of further attacks.
Iran Urges Evacuation of Israeli Settlers
In a televised address, Colonel Reza Sayyad of Iran’s Armed Forces Communications Center issued a direct warning to settlers in the occupied Palestinian territories.
“Leave the occupied territories. Leaving this land is the only way to preserve your lives,” Sayyad said. He referred to the Israeli government as a “corrupt and criminal Zionist regime.”
Sayyad emphasized that Iran possesses a comprehensive intelligence database of Israeli targets. He warned that even underground shelters would not offer safety if the conflict escalates further.
Mossad Agent Executed Amid Iranian Crackdown
Iranian authorities announced the execution of a convicted Mossad operative found guilty of espionage and sabotage on behalf of Israel. Iran’s Supreme Court upheld the sentence.
In addition, Iranian intelligence officials confirmed the arrest of four more alleged Mossad agents in Tehran and nearby provinces. Authorities also seized:
- Over 200 kilograms of explosives
- Components for 23 drones
- Missile launchers
- A Nissan pickup truck
Police Command spokesperson Sa’eed Montazer al-Mahdi confirmed that the suspects were captured before they could carry out planned terrorist activities.
Iran Responds to Israeli Airstrikes on Its Territory
Tehran linked its recent missile barrage to Israeli airstrikes on Iranian soil on June 13. Those strikes reportedly hit civilian areas. Iranian officials labeled the attacks as an “unprovoked act of aggression” and launched a military response aimed at Israeli cities and command infrastructure.
Iranian President Rejects Nuclear Weapon Intentions
President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the global community, stating, “We do not seek nuclear arms. Iran is not an aggressive nation and does not seek domination over others.”
He accused Israel of repeatedly targeting Muslim nations and criticized the United States for supporting Israeli military actions.
“By enabling Israeli attacks, the U.S. is complicit in this cycle of violence,” Pezeshkian said.
Security Lockdown in Israel as Threat Persists
As the threat of more missile strikes continues, the Israeli government issued shelter-in-place orders. The U.S. Embassy in Israel shut down operations, with the U.S. Ambassador confirming that diplomatic staff also took refuge.
Latest Casualty Figures from the Conflict
While Israeli officials confirm eight total deaths, five were killed in Iran’s most recent missile attack, according to foreign news reports. Analysts warn this surge in violence could mark a pivotal moment in regional conflict, potentially drawing in additional international players.
