The unit was activated under the directives of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

Several Pakistani students were injured in violent clashes around student hostels in Bishkek, following an incident involving harassment of Egyptian female students on May 13. The attackers, reportedly using batons, forcefully entered hostel rooms, injuring several international students, including Pakistanis.
In response, Pakistan’s embassy in Kyrgyzstan issued an advisory urging Pakistani students to stay indoors until the situation stabilizes. The advisory was communicated by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Hasan Zaigham, via social media.
